Located in the Grampians just past Halls Gap is Victoria’s largest waterfall, MacKenzie Falls. Measuring over 30m in height, water gushes over the top of cliffs and cascades down into a deep pool for a spectacular view. The hike down to the base of the falls is about a 1km trip from the carpark and the hike back up is relatively steep. For Melbournians, think 1000 steps but harder!
It’s a beautiful sight and well worth a visit if you’re ever in the Grampians area.
It was freezing so I was well prepared with my trusty:
Hunter boots, Lorna Jane tights, Kathmandu jacket, Brora snood (similar here) and Rojo beanie
