Rice Dumpling

So I’ve been missing for about 3 weeks now during my travels – no laptop and lack of being able to access my blog abroad didn’t help my cause – clearly technologically challenged. Hopefully you’ve been following my Instagram @birdekko for the most up-to-date snaps of my travels.

In this particular outfit post, I’ve turned myself into what Asians would describe as “zong zi” also known as, a rice dumpling. If you’ve ever been to yumcha you know the one I’m talking about; the savoury glutinous rice with a variety of fillings: chicken, chinese sausage, chestnuts, chinese mushrooms all squished together and tightly wrapped in a banana or bamboo leaf and tied with string.

I was not prepared for the beyond chilly temperatures so I think I’m almost wearing everything I packed for my trip in this one shot. Thank goodness for all the layers!
